Uniforms must be turned in to your coach by Friday, November 16.

Uniforms must be clean - place them in a GALLON size zip lock bag with your NAME ON IT.

Zip lock bag must contain only ONE TOP and ONE SKIRT!

If you cheer BOTH football and basketball - keep your game uniforms - turn in your competition uniform (if you have one).

If you cheer football and competition only - turn in both uniforms.

Basketball needs these uniforms so you will be fined $5 per day that they are late.

The Booster Club Meeting has been changed from next Tuesday to Monday night instead. There is a college night and many of our senior cheerleaders and parents will be attending this. The meeting will be in the cafe at 7:30.

Plan for Saturday:

Meet at the front of the school in the turn around at 10:30. We should return home around 4 or so. Awards are supposed to start at 2:40.

JV competes at 2:09 and Varsity competes at 1:36.

ALL cheerleaders are invited to participate in the "Taste of Acworth" fashion show for Divas and Dames. We need to have a list of committed cheerleaders by next Friday, 10/12. Details as follows:

Fashion show is in Actworth on Saturday, October 20 at 2pm

Each participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to Divas and Dames

You will have to go by the store one day the week before the show to get fitted in the outfit you will model.

You will receive community service hours for participating.

We will be leaving for Woodland at 10:30 on Saturday. Plan to make it an all day event. Varsity competes at 3:40. No complaints....they have to go early to watch you all :) You must ride the bus unless you have a circumstance previously okayed by me! Please be at the busport no later than 10:30.

Saturday: If you are competing please be at KM no later than 11:15 as you will need to meet the squad you are taking around. You will need to report to the cheerleader check in at the front of the school and then report to the cafe when you are told to do so by Mrs. Stookey. You may wear you warm-up to school and change into uniform later. If you have any questions, please call me.

If you are not competing you should know where and what time to be since Mrs. O'keefe was at practice today and gave you that info. Please let me know if you have a question and I will be more than happy to find an answer.

Thursday: Football game at home against Marietta. Please bring warm-up in case it gets cold.

Friday: Competition practice at KM. This is a dress rehersal. Please wear uniform and bow. If you cheer football you will be required to attend the game @ 6:30 til halftime. I will post on the blog later in the week to tell you what to wear.

Saturday: Check back on Wednesday for details regarding the competition.

Remember that Friday's practice is at Kennesaw Mounain and we are going to the dinner at Westport immediately following practice.

Because so many of you went out of town for the holiday we are not having practice on Monday. Only 7 of you said you could make it. Lets try to practice Saturday morning from 10-12. Mark your calanders.

Football Girls: You will need to report to the field wearing your black and white camp outfit tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. to sell programs. You are free to leave after half-time.

Competition girls: Please let me know ASAP if you can practice on Monday.

Football girls will NOT have practice on Thursday because of Open House.

I just wanted to give the girls that participated in the golf tournament a big round of applause! I am copying the email that was sent to the coaches from the lady in charge of the tournament:

"The girls did an awesome job. Many of us were saying this year's group of girls is noticeably more mature and lovely. They represented KMHS very very well.All the girls did a great job, but there were a few that really stood out.We all loved their sweet uniforms they wore as well. REGARDING CHEER CLOTHING

Do not contact the vendor directly!!!!!!! We are in contact with YSS regarding the warm-up issues. If you have an issue, please e-mail it to your coach so we can address your concerns all at once.Please remember that these are warm-ups - a little extra room for a shirt underneath is necessary.

We have decided to move getting our competition uniforms to Wednesday at Stingrays so that the Varsity representative can be there if we need to order anything.

Parent Meetings

It seems that we are all suffering from a major case of Senioritis. Attendance at last nights parent meeting was dismal at best. Each and every meeting is scheduled for YOUR benefit as the coaches want to make sure everyone is as "informed" as possible. If your Senioritis symptoms kept you from attending the meeting last night, please make sure you see your Coach and get a copy of the calendar.

I wanted to take this time to introduce Coach Larimer. She will be coaching JV Football and I will work with JV Competition. You will probably experience both of us as we will be working together and filling in for eachother when needed. We are really excited to have her back as part of our program! Coach Larimer coached Freshman Football/Basketball 2 years ago.
